I have noted this as well. Women tend to be better at connecting with others for socialization across multiple groups. I have seen my husband blossom a bit since moving to a 55+ community. While he will never be a coordinator of activities, he does join a weekly golf group, and loves interacting with others on the pickleball court and at the gym. He leaves the gathering of friends to me.
